A friend of mine just got back from being in the audience of one of the tapings of the Jerry Springer show and he told me that one of the guests said he was teaching in Korea. While he was there, his girlfriend cheated on him with one of her co-workers. From what my friend said, the fight was intense!!!

Actually, this sounds to be more like a step up in light of past events. Confused

So he's moved on from white trash, burn-outs, and people from the projects to teachers now, eh? Maybe Jerry's making his way up the food chain to doctors and lawyers and their significant others' cheating ways.

Hey, isn't Jerry Springer taped in the same building in Chicago that the Korean consulate is located in? Maybe they didn't have to go far to find fodder.... Laughing

Actually Springer was considered by many people in Cincinnati as one of the finest politicians that ever served their city. He was straight forward and honest.

He's actually making his way in the Democratic party. Lots of people kind of turn out to his talks with a kind of snicker but then walk out going "this guy knows what he's talking about."

Maury is cool~ But he tends to talk about the same topics day in and day out;

Paternity tests
Lie detector tests/ dreadful secrets
Make overs
Secret crushes

I mean, I went home on vacation in 2002 and watched the show abit, and its now 2006 and he's talking about the SAME TOPIC!!!!

I think Jerry Springer was going for a Senate seat or governorship one time, but withdrew from the race.

Well~ After being in Korea, putting an ESL teacher on stage isn't exactly a step up on the food chain.....not to say the least

And my quote is something left over from my ol' Dave Chappelle days...
Now that ~IS~ a quality show-

Need I say more ???

Korea has a knack of breaking up couples that come here. not only because of the intense pressures from working in bad hogwons, but also because some K-women are very competitive and see it as a nationalistic , patriotic game to lure guys away from their girlfriends.

Hint, ultimate tip for playas (you can thank me later). if you want k-women throwing themselves at you, just tell them you have a Japanese girlfriend. They then make it their mission to conquer their unseen Japanese rival by stealing you away from her.

Maury is an idiot. As has been said, his show is the same every day. it never changes. Always the same topics.

All those shows are ridiculous. It's no surprise that an ESL teacher from Korea is on that show...ESL teachers from Korea are mostly ridiculous. hahahhaahhah.

I don't seem to understand "reality tv" or "talk shows" that don't focus on an average person's reality.

Have you seen, been to or heard what Cincinnati has turned into? I was just there this summer for a ball game.
I haven't heard anything good about it and only news that comes out are professional ballplayers being arrested or heightened racial tensions after another cop slaying of yet another black youngster (granted that was several years ago).

I get a sense it's trying to clean up it's image now, though.

I'm not questioning wether or not he was a good politician because I frankly don't know but he is obviously good at rousing people and talking the good talk, but I have to wonder if he actually did any good for that city. I know I would never live there.

Ronnie~ if the talk show had nothing "special" about it, then it wouldn't show "reality"

(what I mean by "special" is "special ed")

But in defense of the people on this board, there are some (a few) good teachers among them.....

By the way, speaking about "special ed".....
