This being Korea I figured I'd give it a try. Every time I went by a mirror I felt absolutely ridiculous but my students and co-workers were always remarking about how lovely I looked. I got called 'beautiful' and 'pretty' and didn't hear a single 'handsome' all day.

Any other guys ever given it a try?

Nope have not tied that one yet. However, my dress shoes are new and not yet broken in. They hurt my feet after a few hours. I have never done it before in my life but I patter around the office in sandals with socks on. I will be all set later in life to match it up with a pair of Bermuda shorts.

I've worn a salmon pink polo a few times. It does actually look good on me.

'Flamingo' Lacoste polo shirt. Looks the business in the summer. I'm of the opinion that pink shirts on men are fine as long as you are not dead pasty.

I just walked past a couple of students and was told I look 'cute', 'sexy', 'very fantastic', and have 'perfect clothes'.

Can you imagine what students at a Canadian high school would say if I were dressed like this?

no, but I do have one in my closet I recieved as a gift from the in-laws. Have no intention of ever wearing it.

I haven't worn it in a while, but I used a pink dress shirt a few times a month. Strangely, I never got any comments on it at all. Maybe it's because I was, at the time anyway, in Apgujeong, where practically every man I saw had a pink dress shirt on.

But I also had the same shirt my last year of university, and you better believe I got comments wearing a pink shirt around New Brunswick. I got one "beautiful" from a very fashion-conscious friend, but everything else was a variation on "gay", "queer", "fruit" and other comments of that sort.

It's funny, i just started a thread about buying clothes for guys in korea.
Yes, i've had at least 2 pink dress shirts and wore them to work and also into the general population. Never gotten any 'bad' comments, though i doubt anyone would be rude enough to say it into my face. Just the 'nice' comments like: pretty shirt etc....
I liked those dress shirts, they gave me a nice break from the grey, white, blue, navy blue and green shirts.
An important factor about the shirt is how they fit someone. As long as the dress shirts dont look like they are the size of parachutes and fit correctly, anyone would look good. Also, one must have enough self esteem to pull something like this (wearing a pink shirt) off.

Yep. Had a solid one that finally wore out and now have one with thin blue stripes trimmed in white. I look good in them, and worn under a gray suit, they provide a bit of color and contrast well with a blur tie. My purple shirt, though, is a disco escapee and I can't think for the life of me what I was doing when I bought it.

In the West, we can only wear pink shirts when Esquire or somewhere tells us it's okay. Otherwise, they're just code for the gay community. In Korea, where moms & wives choose & buy nearly everything a man wears, people just don't make pink=gay connexion.

i have a few nice pink shirts.

i have worn them in vancouver and seoul.

i believe the coolness of pink depends largely on the shade.
