On late Saturday I was (unprovokedly) attacked by a bottle-wielding African, outside of Oldtowns...and seconds after fighting him and his bottle off *b.astard* was then bottled/glassed/knifed by one of his buddies from over my right shoulder.

The end result was 2 deep cuts over my right eyebrow and forehead.

Resulting in 30 stitches.

So this is a cautionary tale more than anything (unless you saw it I'd love to hear what I was cut with Razz )...

Because for what it's worth, it seems that Itaewon on late nights (Fridays/Saturdays) is getting 'worse'; and yes, I'm going to chalk it up to the Africans Razz

Because while they were around before they were not so abusive and out-of control.

But over the last 6 months or so I ( and a friend has mentioned it as well)...have increasingly seen more problems with them; attacking each other, beatiing on Korean doormen, pushing Korean policemen around, molesting Korean and foreign women both inside and outside the bars, directing white-hating vitriol at me on two separate occasions, etc).

So take it for what it's worth and be careful.

Now, I don't hold grudges, but I just watched the Nazi parody in this thread...
Funny because the germans made it...

And that reminded me of why I remember this poster is not quite normal...
Nasa landings

I know this is an adhominem attack, and possibly akin to the police not believing a rape victim only because she is a h o o k e r. But with opinions like this guy, I have to wonder about the "unprovoked" claim.

Grudges are for losers poker player. I am also wondering if there is ever a time you don't just insult people or show over blown emotion. I know I handed your ass to you in our last conversation seeing as you never provided an actual argument, using extremely well thought out and mature insults like the ones you just used.

You do know you are defending a holocaust denier who is sure the American government killed all the 9.11 victims and currently blames a lot of troubles on "those Africans", right?

Classic.

But it won't stop you, I'm sure, haha

haha.

You're pure class.

It doesn't matter if you believe me or notbut I don't bullshit.

[Were my views not straight-forward enough on the other threads?]

The fact is the 'man' had a problem with me because he got into people's faces who were simply watching the Africans fighting amongst themselves.

[Don't want people to witness you making a spectacle of yourself...don't do it!].

And basically tried to bully me and when I didn't grovel like everyone else there...told me I had 5 minutes to leave because I was "a white man" and he was "a black man" and so he "didn't give a f.uck about me" and would "have no mercy."

So it was actually a racist attack...but really didn't feel the need to include that detail.

[Because anyone with a brain knows that most attacks by packs of Africans on whites or anyone else is almost always racial in nature...]

So to be honest, it had nothing to do with my views (the guy wasn't a mindreader, and I never said a bloody thing to him about the moon landings or anything else Razz ).

He was just a power-tripping piece of trashwho thought he saw a victiim...and I wasn't leaving just because some racist African demanded that I do so at the threat of violence.

Screw him.

And this was actually the second African that night tripping for no reason.

Another one earlier in the night lied and said that a friend I was with had taken his picture with a digital camera (didn't) and so he demanded the digital camera to "make sure that his picture wasn't in there"

haha

If we were dumb or scared enough to give it...I can just see him running off with it now

In any case, think what youd like.

Its my personal feeling that the place (Itaweon) is getting worse and if it makes people a bit more awareIll be happy for it.

I couldn't state my case on the Holocaust so why don;t you leave it alone...you lemming. Wink

And I simply state that the Official 9/11 version is a fairy-tale with more holes than Swiss cheese.

And I am hardly alone, among the informed, in my view.

And lastly, what does any of the above have to do with Africans pack-attacking me in Itaewon...and me nicely trying to give a heads up to others to be careful?

And you're suggesting I'm wrong then?

Great, let's hear it. Very Happy

GG
PS. I haven't seen Itaewon over a period of just months. I first started going there in late 2003...

Did you get a police report? You may not get any blood money out of him, but you might get him deported.

It was about 8:30am or so.

And I think I saw the same Korean girls. Razz

Good point.

But I didn't know how badly I was hurt and have seen Korean cops in action.

I didn't really feel like I had the time.

I basically flagged a cab, almost immediately, and went direct to Samsung Medical Centre.

*great plastic surgeon there* Razz

It seemed so natural. Almost like there wasn't anything out of the ordinary going on. Wink

But I am committed to never associating in the general vicinity with such trash again. Razz

How about thirty stitches in my head?

haha

Fair enough Goshiwon, I personally don't think it's worth much, but it's an interesting story nonetheless.

For you, and anyone else from a low crime area, don't do this. If you aren't involved, MYOB. As a matter of fact, get the hell away. This goes double in the US, where you never know when some idiot is going to pull out a gun and start launching bullets.

Sure, you've got stitches. But how do we know the Africans caused them? We have to maintain our high standards of proof. Right? Wink

If you wanted to stay out of trouble you probably shouldn't have gone to a place known as Hooker Hill.

Indeed. At 7.30-8am no less. And standing around enjoying watching a fight is extremely irritating to the people involved.
Stay out of Itaewon/hooker hill if you want to avoid trouble. Its Ok in the daytime, but not that early in the morning, when the people have stayed up all night drinking.
Hope your cuts heal up nicely.

Fair point, RACETRAITOR.

You live, you learn.

But there are 2 or 3 regular bars there and that's where I went.

[And I was actually going to go home but I followed the (Turkish) Donair Guy up there, who I'm quite friendly with. Then I stayed... Wink ].

And even on the main strip I have seen problems; in the Loft for one.

Saw a Nigerian kicking the stuffing out of a Korean doorman because the Korean doorman didn't want to let any more Nigerians in...as some had already gone in and molested women.

Another night had another African start talking smack in the bathroom to another about how "we're Africans, be proud, we're not like this *sniff* American...over here" *pointing at me.*

[And he later approached me to talk more smack and tell me that 'us' whites were 'arrogant' and he how couldn't wait for "another 9/11"...

Wink ]

In any case, I'll better all suggestions of staying off of Hooker Hill.

It's very, very unlikely I'll even bother going to Itaewon after dark.

Too many Africans and not enough law.

I'll stick to places that attract Koreans...and other mellow foreigners...who are not so racist and pack attack people based on the color of their skin or the likeliness that they can fend off multuple attackers. Razz

Rightio!

I guess I'll have to 'dig up' some witnesses.

Shouldn't be hard as I usually pay them quite well. Razz

Good points and thank you.

Luckily they're not in bad places and the plastic surgeon says they should be barely noticeable in 6 months to a year.

Based on general precedent and the healings of...my other scars. Wink

I've been to Oldtown on way-too-many occasions, and the sun is never still down when I leave that place. yes, the Africans do frequent the place, and there are always a bunch of them up there. The majority, I will say are pretty cool, and are just up there to have some fun like everyone else.
That being said, last Friday, there was a tall lanky dude (African, yes he was, that's why I'm contributing to this thread) who was telling my friend how he had some problem with me. We talked him down and the situation ended without incident, yet why he had some problem was never determined. Later that night (or morning I should say), I saw the same guy getting into it with others as well, so we just chalked it up to him being in a bad way that night.
Sorry to hear the OP ran into trouble up there and I would also say I'm not surprised. There's always potential for that. So far, I guess I've just been lucky and have decied to stay away while the gettin is good.

^

This was a tall, lanky black guy; but pretty well muscled as well.

He had tight hair; not exactly cornrows but similar.

He just started shit with me for no reason and another African came up and said "don't worry about him; he's just like this...but he won't do anything".

That stupidly dropped my guard for a few seconds but then this trash picked up a bottle a few seconds after threatening me...for the last time...so I close quarters attacked him. To disarm him. Wink

And I did that well enough (traded fairly with a much bigger guy)...but then I got it from over my right shoulder... Wink

In any case, it does sound eerily like the same guy...

But the problem is, if it wasn't him that night...it will be another...another night.

And it wasn't even that guy that bottled me (tried to, but didn't pull it off as best as I know).

[Which means there was more than one scumbag there that night... Wink ]

I really feel that the place has changed for the worse; so best be careful people; even just to be on the 'safe side'.

Doesn't hurt.

Or at least not as much as...30 stitches in your head. Wink
