I wanted to know if there was any way that I can get my wife and child over here under another visa for spouses and dependents. Actually she is suppose to come in and replace a teacher leaving soon, but it seems she will not be able to do so on time. So maybe i thought she could be covered on another type of visa. and if so possibly teach or will she need her own e2 before she comes to teach? |

Your wife and child can receive an F-3 visa (dependent spouse) if you have an E-2 visa. They can apply for it outside of the country of they can come here on a tourist visa and then apply for a change in status once in Korea. However, your wife cannot legally teach on an F-3 visa and will have to do a visa run (I assume) to another country to get an E-2. Depending on your country of origin, she could just come here on a tourist visa and then do the visa run if she will starting within the tourist visa period. |
