Hello,
Due to some stupidity on my part as well as my boss's I may be deported very soon. I am asking that someone here will take both of my very small dogs. Please let me know if you are interested. [email protected]

This is terrible. I'm not in Korea and can't help, but maybe one of these groups can offer some advice:

www.withanimal.net

www.koreananimals.org

How much time do you have to make these arrangements? Is there a co-worker who could take care of them temporarily? Is there any way you could have them sent to you in your home country?

that's heartbreaking.

i've got a cat that would probably beat the holy living spit out of two very small dogs.

You should save them yourself...

Take them home with you... Why take a pet (or petS) if you're not gonna keep it and continue to look after it???

Too many foreigners come here and get pets and then dump them off on other people when it's time to go...

Not fair to the animals, and quite selfish of the so-called owners...

Thank you to everyone's suggestions. I had every intention of taking my dogs home with me. Unfortumately (as my post clearly says) I AM GETTING DEPORTED. in case you are unfamilair with this term, this means that i do not have the 180 days to send in a blood sample and get an import liscense. Sorry to sound like an ******* but if you are going to respond to my post at least read it first.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Would it be possible to get someone to hang onto them for those 180 days while you're waiting for the import licence? That might be easier than asking someone to adopt them.

Hmm. Could they be shipped without someone accompanying them from Korea to wherever you are bound?

I have also been thinking about that. Maybe i can get them sent to me after the paper work goes through. This is something I would talk to the person who is interested about. Thank you so much for your support!

No problem. I wish I could help, but I'm often away all weekend and I don't know how people cope with dogs in apartments... do you train them to use the toilet, hold them out the window as they do their business or use psychic powers to schedule two trips down to the ground floor?

Hi,
That is really a sad situation. I have just arrived in Korea and might be able to help at least temporarily-I don't think I could adopt them as I won't be staying here forever. Could you please write me at [email protected] and tell me some more about your dogs? Breed, age, temperment, etc....
Take care,
Sommer

Not trying to be a stickler, but just curious - are you getting deported or are you getting an exit order. Deportation, I've always been under the impression, means you've been caught (for whatever reason) and are in immigration detention awaiting deportation (i.e. you do not get to go anywhere until they put you on your plane so no internet I would assume). An exit order is when you are given a notice informing you that you have to exit the country by a certain date under your current visa (for whatever reason) but is not as severe as deportation as you are allowed to apply for another visa.

Dogs -if you're in Seoul...check your private message inbox.

Riposte, you know they're very small and don't have much meat on them, right?

I can never figure out why people who are here for only a year suddenly decide the most humane thing they can do is get a pet they'll have to throw away.
