Sounds great. I'd go, but I'm not in Korea now. |

I'd go, but I'm not in Seoul. I think their webpage allows electronic donation, but I'm not sure. |

Here's the Korean Animal Protection Society page. They currently don't accept online donations, and have a write-up about why.

This is a good plug, RT. I think these people need all the help they can get in this country. I've been here about a year and I live and teach in a relatively rural area. The things I've seen and heard have horrified me. I've had a few sleepless nights after hearing the sounds of dogs in agony and terrified. Anyway, I'll leave it at that as this topic has been discussed a thousand times. A friend of mine had already given me the info to make donations to this society. I intend to do so. Thanks. |

Blloody excellent-brilliant-I've got alot of anti dog cruelty people who are ready to send donations to Korea and our Canadian school with the backing of Korean and Chinese students are going to make Canadians aware of the state of the cruelty to dogs in Korea, If you have any pics of cruelty to dogs before they are slaughtered please send then to [email protected].
North Americans Koreans are concerned and our school contributes 5% of all Korean students tuition to a cause to be soon determined and it may well be this one. The only embraasing thing is the sentiment of a very few ESLers who are poroponents of dog torture and eating but then I imagine those barbarians are embrassments to themselves as well.
Hang on`this is going to get big. There is going to be a rally of a few hubndred people at a Kia and a Hyundai dealer in Richmond BC with pickets stating that people should not be buying cars from a country that tortures and eat dogs.
We are also talking to agents of some huge celebs in the US, UK and Europe. This is 1 fight that even if it is not won is going to draw major attention and we're trying to keep PETA out to give it credibility. |
