hello all, so i'm very new to this group and have joined really out of desperation! in my situation! so as dismal as this sounds shall i continue? i am very new to the whole korean scene of esl teaching but have been here for almost one year and a half already. as awful as this may sound i thought that teaching here in korea would be a great thing to do for a short time and then move on to something else. so i went through an esl recruitment agency at home to come here. so let me give you some of my background before i came here. i had just graduated from college and was really interested in education but more specially environmental education as that was where my own interests and experience lay. so i thought teaching here would also be a good means to explore this further. so i had done some middle school mainly and a small amount of kindergarden/elementary. anyhow not to expand on this too much i came here to an slp school as a kindergarden/elementary teacher on a yars contract with bonuses etc included. however four months in i was forced to move on and i ended up in my current school here in gwangmyeong si.

The problem is explained in another thread. I was confused by this, too, until I found the other one.

So has anyone noticed a large # of Korean teenagers starting every sentence with "So"? Like, oh, my, God... Wink

Nothing personal, couldn't help myself.
