A lot of people say I don't contribute to intelligent discussion. Well, that goes without saying. I'm not that intelligent to begin with.
However, I would like to teach you single guys how to make seafood gumbo. It's real easy, and I think you could impress a girl this way. Korean chicks love seafood and rice.
Let me give you some steps:
1. Get some flour and oil. Put equal parts flour and oil into a pan. Stir the concoction over a stove. Don't stop stirring until it turns into a brown gravy. This is your rue.
2. Season the rue. This is up to you, my friends. Personally, I'd go with a liberal amount of tobasco and jalepenos. But that's me.
3. It's called seafood gumbo. But it really only tastes good with three types of seafood. And I'm using the word "sea" liberally. These are the three types: shrimp, crawfish, and alligator.
Crawfish and alligator are going to be a problem in Korea. So you will have to go with the shrimp. And that's ok! Shrimp is the best.
4. Throw those shrimp in that rue. And let me tell you something--especially you cheap Dutch-paying Canadians and Scotsmen. Don't put tiny shrimp in there to save a buck. Go for the monsters! Yeah, it might cost you about 30, 000 won, but what the hell, right?
5. Put your rice in a bowl and pour the rue over the rice. Then you eat. You'll love it.
What to drink with seafood gumbo? Put away the soju. Go with beer. If it were my choice, I'd choose Guiness.
Give this a try on your next date. Trust me. You'd have to be a moron to screw this up.
