Not the old classic but the one from 1999 with Brendan Fraser. I remember the movie openned about a week or two before Star Wars Phantom Menance. The studio thinking was "no one is going to go see any movie this summer but Phantom Menance so may as well get a jump on Star Wars."

I went to see it in the week or two before Star Wars openned, thinking this movie would tide me over until the movie I had waited like 20years to see finally came out.

I kind of liked the Mummy movie and sort of silently said to myself "wouldn't it be funny if Mummy was better than Phantom Menance?"

And I was all too right. Sigh.

I went to see the Mummy 2 with eamo in 2001 and fell asleep during one of the big action set pieces. Apparently I snored, but it was a Korean movie theatre so it didn't matter.

You are so wrong. Snoring is horrid, you rude ass. Now, if you were snoring on your cell phone, it would have been ok. Wink

When I first came here a movie ticket in Korea was half the price of a movie ticket in Toronto. At times I considered, if I was seeing a movie alone, actually buying two tickets. One for me and one to provide a buffer between me and the guy snapping open his cell phone to check his SMS messages.

His snoring was nowhere near as loud as the 15 or so people talking on their phones at the time. And the various 3 year-olds crying because Mom and Dad have brought them to a PG movie with quite scary scenes. Ahhhh.....the joys of Korean movie theaters outside Seoul.

I didn't like the movie much at all (didn't stop me from watching it again though...). Still, I like the cat scene.
