In a contract, what should I get the term "teaching hours changed to? I have experience in Korea now, and I got dooped in my first contract with the "teaching hours" bit. The classes were only 40 mins long.

have then define what a teaching hour is.

1x 50 minute class + 1x 10 minute break = 1 teaching hour.
1x 40 minute class + 1x5 minute break = .75 teaching hour
1 class = 1 teaching hour (like in the public school system)

OR

BETTER YET - Skip the teaching hour thing and instead put the number of classes per week / month. Then there is NO confusion or wiggle room.

.
