Just wondering if anyone knows any good sites where I can download guitar sheet music. I just started to learn and I need some basic stuff.

What type of music do you want to play? Which musical instrument are you learning?

The cost of downloading legal sheet music is just insane (up to 15$ a song). You'd better buy a book from an online store (Whatthebook, Kyobo, etc.). They cost anywhere from 10 to 30$ depending on the number of songs.

But, if you're learning to play the guitar, do a search for 'guitar tabs'. Most of the tabs are written by teenagers who really don't know much about music theory, but they're good enough for a beginner.

http://www.musicnotes.com sells downloadable sheet music. It's not cheap ($4-5 for most titles), but provides instant access. Unfortunately, though, purchases can be printed only one time. Sad

http://www.sheetmusicplus.com probably has the biggest collection of printed sheet music to be found anywhere and ships internationally.

The best place to go to is http://www.chordie.com. Not only will you find tons of music transcribed by members of the board, but there is an option that lets you transpose the key with a simple click of the mouse. Far better than anything else I've come across. It's free to become join. Enjoy!
