So I was reading the other thread where an ethnic Korean wrote that educated Korean girls don't marry white/black Englishee teachers in Korea, etc. etc. So I'm wondering who else is married to a kgal college grad.
Mine graduated from Hongik in 1999. Education major. AND she's a good girl. woot woot! Dated for 2.5yrs and married for 7yrs.
(Of course her father wanted to send his goons to the USA and kill my family! Yes, he took away her passport when he found out she was coming to marry me, also had to wait 6 months for her to come on fiance visa, which was horribly long time no see kissy kissy)
Edited for significant other in title.

Well wouldn't you be upset if you had a daughter that married a dog? |

My girlfriend who will almost unquestionably be with me forever:
1. Is one semester away from having a Korean BA
2. Working on an American BA
3. Speaks very good English
4. Invests in stock
5. Cooks Korean food as well as I cook western food
6. Is a quiet, reserved angel that gets checked out a lot both in Korea and the US
7. Is a devil in the...
Well, you get the point. I had a few Koreans that tried to get her to leave me in the past, including gyopos (not grouping all gyopos together though, mind you) and my mom's white friend (who wishes I'd go for her homely daughter instead) because of our "cultural differences," but neither her nor I nor either of our families (grandparents included) give a rat's ass.
Sure, we have arguments and whatever like anyone else, but she's no idiot,
Actually, I always wanted to post one of those pictures...I know it's old...I also always wanted to write one of these small edit messages |

I think you hurt it a bit yourself when you made your questions gender specific. |

Yeah, girlfriend that graduated from Sungkyunkwan University in 2005. Not married yet, but it will happen someday, especially if her mother has anything to do with it. She's also been to Canada to meet my folks. |

I was almost a 100% match with this guy on match.com, so the guy e-mailed me. He seemed nice enough, but he didn't go to college, and there were so many grammar and spelling mistakes in his e-mail (he's a native speaker) that I didn't e-mail him back. For myself, I need to be educationally compatible with my partner. My parents weren't (my mom has an associate's degree), and she felt a bit inferior hanging around with my dad's friends and wives from work (dad's an MD). They aren't married anymore....
Thread's not dead yet, scrappy! ^^ |

My fiance doesn't, but he's a Native Speaker teacher. It's never been an issue for him since he's a Korean citizen, no one bothers to ask. Not to mention he is one of the most interesting and intelligent men I've met, with 100 times more common sense and financial sensibility then every B.A. holder I've met here, myself included! |

| My SO is from SE Asia, not Korea, but we have to deal with the usual ignorant whitey assumptions concerning mixed marriages of this type. She has a Law Degree as well as a graphic design diploma from an Australian business college and has worked in media and advertising. To put it in layman's terms, she is far smarter than me. |
