Hehe. Nice.
I also wonder when Senor Cubanlord is going to figure out he meant "cause" and not "justification".
I didn't, though. |

Hostility in general, or hostility towards other posters, our bosses, our noisy neighbors, or what? I'd say some people just have rather fiery personalities... ^~ |

I think the big problem is the mob mentality around here ... one jerk decides to start bashing someone whose opinions he (usually it seems to be a he) doesn't think deserve to be taken seriously, and everyone else joins in. People then feel free to twist and misrepresent what their opponent has said in repeated attempts to provoke and bait. The topic gets lost and people start talking about Greenland in a discussion about cruel acts going on in Korea. I don't think there's much justification for the way these people behave.
My justification for retaliating is that people really aren't giving serious consideration to the issues at hand. I don't participate in a lot of the discussions on the current events forum because I simply don't have time to do the research involved. How would some of these clowns like it if I jumped in the middle of a debate about Iraq and said things like, "What are your reasons for opposing the U.S. occupation of Iraq?" and "How did this whole thing start anyway?" and "Iraqis don't care about me and there have been wars throughout human history, so why should I care about this at all?" Those comments don't represent my true position, BTW, but they would be no more stupid than many of the "arguments" the anti-animal-rights crowd keeps churning out. |

I was comparing dog meat not being eaten by Westerners to fish meat not being eaten by Greenlanders, so it wasn't off topic, reddog just missed the point, along with many other poster's points.
Keeping things in the thread where things should be addressed instead of bringing them up in threads that don't go with it is a good example of maturity. I don't think I need to point out Reddog is working on the level of a junior high school student, I doubt there are many who would disagree. If you do disagree, please let me know.
And for this thread itself, it's the extremism that seeps through this site. You are either anti-Korea, or an apologist. You are anti-America, or defend it tooth and nail. People can't have good recruiters because they are all, 100% evil. Extremist views usually go with extreme personalities. They are usually not socially functional people. |

Both Red Dog and Lagaiguk make great points about some of the things that happen online. |

You're the one who kept missing my point over and over again and going on and on about Greenland when no one really cares about Greenland (in the context of the discussion). Once again you throw insults around when you don't like someone else's opinion. The mods should really do something. |

I was talking more about the time around 1000 AD, when it actually had sole ties with Norway. Check out the other thread for more information if you want about Greenland, or pm me. I don't want to hijack this thread any more. |
