I'm running out of 'artificial tears' (lubricating eyedrops).
Does anyone know if lubricating eyedrops are available in Korea and what they are called in Korea?
My students are always rubbing their eyes so I wonder if dry-eyes are a problem here. I have no tear ducts left so I must lubricate my eyes artificially 2-3 times per day, or they get infected.

My current eye drops are :
(1) Duratears (tube 35g) Lubricating eyedrops
(2) Liquifilm fort'e (small plastic dispenser) Lubricating gel
(3) Chlorosig (tube 35 gm) (Medical prescription ) gel to prevent infections.
Any help appreciated.

I use these cause I had eye surgery.


But I use lubricating one thats called refresh plus. Great stuff.

Eye drops are widely available here. Just go into your friendly neighbourhood chemist and ask for them.

I wonder if they can be used for other lubricating needs...

You know, I read in a magazine that BAUCH AND LOMB tried to rip off people by selling expensive eye drops, and basically each bottle was saline solution. maybe you could check this out.

I prefer the Refresh Plus stuff cause its low on preservatives. I used other drops and they had high preservative content they realy bothered my eyes more.

Most pharmacies don't carry special eye drops (Busan) but if you see a laser eye center I am betting the surrounding pharmacies will be stocked.


oh and don't worry about docs here they will perscribe anything you want as long as you pay them their fee.

Refresh Plus comes in 1 use capsules.

ditto on Refresh Plus, but haven't seen it here. Take your current bottle to any pharmacy and see if they can give you something similar. BTW, the pharmacist near BK in Itaewon speaks English, so you could discuss it with him.
