They keep showing a commercial on TV with the song "Desperado", and it's starting to get into my head and to make me want to download it. Unfortunately, I can't find the right version/artist. Anybody know who the singer is? Anybody else like the song?

yeah, i like the chick's version of it. i downloaded the clint black version and the (original, i think) johnny cash version, but they both suck.

what about that commercial with the song: "i was five and he was six, bang bang, my baby shut me down"

The song was most famously sung by "The Eagles". You'll recognise that song when you hear it. It was covered by Johnny Cash later on. Smile

Desperado was written by the Eagles and is part of an entire album. It's worth a listen. Linda Ronstadt, among many others, covered it.

Bang! Bang! was Cher's first solo hit (I think) back when she was still married to Sonny. 1966 I think. Don't know who covered it.
