This weather lately has been perfect for hiking. If the clear skies stay you will get some amazing views. I say go hike Gwanaksan or Bukhansan. Bukhansan is more fun and takes a lot longer, but there are restaurants on the mountain. You can even stay overnight on it.

Hiking is cool, but I prefer to round up a couple of friends with scooters or bikes and head out of the city. Some of the NE areas of 경기도 is fantastic once the leaves start changing.

The only downside is that you can't drink while touring on a scooter. When I go hiking I'm usually trashed by midday.

I've recently discovered the joys of grilling. Picnics are a pain to organize, but a lovely way to kill an afternoon. The initial investment, i.e., portable grill and cooler, is a bit steep, but should pay off in the long run. I got really fancy last time and bought a hand-cranked ice-grinder to have fresh margaritas. Yowza!

Some of us are hiking on Saturday at the Ice Valley near Miryang. Meeting at Miryang Train Station at 11 a.m. Feel free to join us.
Sunday we're watching the Daegu Buzzards play American football. I believe it's their first game of the season.
Cheers.

There's also the veggie BBQ at Namsan!

Got to agree with Kermo.
It's bbq season.
Go to Anmyeondo seafood market in the morning and buy scallops, clams, mussels.
In the afternoon put the seafood and pork tenderloin on the grill.
Drink beer and clean out the liquor cabinet (brandy, single malt, port).
Fall down.

I love the fall.

Oh yeah, forgot the cigars.
Can't wait for Saturday.

a blend of seoulsucker, ajgeddes, and kermo's ideas.

Take the bike out for cruise through the hills, followed by a nice leisurely hike and finally pick a spot for sangyupsal after building a healthy appetite. Ain't nuth'n better!
