From the entry on Gary Hart:
"He earned a D.Phil. in Politics degree at St Antony's College, Oxford University in 2001. During his studies there, he discovered that the elephant population in Africa has increased six-fold between January 2000 and February 2001."

As far as the wackiest thing you'll ever read on wikipedia goes, what are the limits of your imagination? Why, right at this moment I'm editing a random page to say that animalbirdfish is the most awesome poster that Dave's ESL cafe has ever had. Nah, those are boring. My favourites are the really subtle parts that are funny just for their serious treatment of a subject that usually isn't given that much scrutiny. For example the one on Karate Kid III:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Next_Karate_Kid&oldid=36095307
Quote: |
Miyagi tells Julie that he taught her grandfather karate as a gift for saving his life in World War II. But when Daniel asks Miyagi if he has ever taught anyone karate before in The Karate Kid, he tells him that he has not. This would be considered a plot hole, assuming that Mr. Miyagi isn't senile, or unless he wanted to discourage Daniel from learning karate. |
In addition to a very complete analysis of the evidence in the Ambiguously Gay Duo as to whether the two are gay or not:
Quote: |
Evidence That They Might Be Gay
They are always shown as being together in public and in private, whether it be in high school (lunch, art class, gym class, or in the showers), Metroville's public streets, or their secret base.
Their car, the TenderBallz, is shaped like a huge *beep* and can fire white, semen-like rays.
Ace pats Gary on the rear quite often.
Ace refers to Gary as "friend of friends" and "fellow long life partner."
They have a crime-fighting dog who has an unusual uniform, which includes a large dildo-like jock strap that is very long.
Their dialogue is full of homosexual innuendo; they have said to "stick it in the hole, don't play with it" when talking about electric plugs, to name just one example.
Their X-ray vision is used to see if men are concealing weapons in their crotches. They get more interested in men's crotches after looking close.
The duo is usually wearing its skintight uniforms. Rarely are they seen dressed in civilian clothing.
When performing the Heimlich Maneuver and CPR in the episode Safety Tips, they seem to sexualize it with thrusting and hugging.
In a later episode, Saturday Night Live: The Best of TV Funhouse, it is revealed that they have a strange obsession with comedian Jimmy Fallon.
They often hold hands together, sometimes in public.
In the episode Trouble Coming Twice, Ace pats Shaq on the butt in the men's locker room, much to the basketball legend's horror.
According to Orbitrox, they hang out at a gay bar called "The Greasy Pole." They also seem to be loitering around other gay clubs, such as "The Man Hole."
Their fighting techniques are questionable for heterosexual superheroes. Gary sits and thrusts on Ace, while the latter flies and shoots lasers. It is, like Bighead says, "riding him like a dime store pony." They attack a gigantic monster by flying into its rear, and they very often use sexual-looking positions as fighting techniques like Gary's "sucking off".
Their uniforms contain unusually large codpieces, which seem irregular for heroes like Batman or Superman.
Whenever they are working out, they usually do squat thrusts and push ups always together.
Gary is always bare chested while he is bench-pressing or lifting weights.
They disguise themselves as the Village People while going undercover and entering a "hetero" bar. Ace usually dresses as an Indian chief, and Gary's disguise is that of a motorbiker enthusiast.
During their exercises, they usually dress in tight tank-tops and short-shorts, when they go jogging in the park.
When trying on long, pink furry coats, Ace tells Gary that "it makes the shoulders stand out more."
They do not have any wives, they are never shown with girls, nor do they show any kind of interest in girls for that matter.
Their clothing tends to contain thongs and shorts which are too small and tight for them.
In the high school segment, Ace and Gary were "playing" together while getting their costumes on in the same toilet stall.
Whenever they use their spinning technique, they hold hands and run together in a circle until they go at top speed.
In that same episode, they seemed to enjoy "wrestling" each other and spent an hour in the gym showers "making sure the whole team washed everywhere." They also enjoyed whipping each other on the behind with towels.
They also sculpted a phallus-shaped model in art class, during the high school segment.
To heat something up, whether it is chemicals or antidote, Ace and Gary usually rub it, resembling masturbation.
Gary picks something up near Ace to look like he is performing fellatio.
They form a "ball" grabbing each other's crotches with their mouths to roll over the villains.
In one episode, a spoof of Superman, Ace and Gary enter a fortress in the North Pole (known as the "Fortress of Privacy") which is obviously a parody of the Fortress of Solitude. However, most of the crystal formations in the fortress resemble penises in a way, which their "mentor" Kor-Al, says wasn't his original design for it. Ace says that Gary "has the eye for new things." They insert a long pink crystal into a slot that looks like a person's buttocks.
In that same episode, when handing Gary a crystal that contains info about their origins, Ace says "Learning knowledge can be frightening, Gary, and sometimes painful. You've just got to double up and let it right in you.""
In the Fortress, they have a Spanish manservant Pedro who seems to have an interest in them.
Despite these examples, every episode finds room for debate on whether Ace and Gary are gay or not. There are some who believe that there is a reasonable, heteronormative explanation for their actions. Ace and Gary seem to think that their behavior is completely normal, and they are confused when people look at them oddly or try to "out" them. When they were confronted by some kids over this issue, they merely stated that everyone should be happy and gay. Some viewers believe that Ace and Gary are not gay, just good friends, but they are rather naive about what everyone thinks of their behavior. In an episode where they get fan mail, they seem unaware of the sexual content in the letters they receive from jailed prisoners. One letter includes the following: "Can you send me pictures of yourselves without your costumes?" It is ended with "when I get out of jail, I'm going to come find you." Gary merely thanks the viewer and states that they cannot reveal their secret identities to the public. The joke lies in the supporting characters' willingness to discount the overwhelming evidence. For their parts, Ace and Gary will only admit to being ". . . gay like a fox".
[edit]
Evidence That Ace and Gary Might Not Be Gay
They seem oblivious as to why everyone in a heterosexual sports bar kicks them out, after they visited the place dressed as the Village People.
During the fan mail episode, they are completely unaware of the implied sexual content in the letters sent by homosexual criminal convicts.
In the safety tips episode, although it appeared at one point that Gary was performing fellatio on Ace, he was merely checking the brakes of their car to see if they still worked and picking up something he dropped.
According to one girl back in high school, she said that Ace was currently her boyfriend. (This may not be true, as Ace seemed confused when it was mentioned to him)
They are often confused as to why people look at them funny in public, mostly when they exhibit strange behavior while fighting evil. Ace usually asks "What's everybody looking at?", only to get the reply of "NOTHING!" from viewers around them.
In the high school segment, when Bighead tried to take over the school with a reanimated frog, they spend nearly half an hour in a toilet stall getting their costumes on. It seems they are "playing" with each other, but Gary mentions that it is hard to fit two people into one stall to change.
Ace likes to maintain himself and Gary in peak physical condition, which could explain their doing weights and squat thrusting together.
When confronted about their sexual orientation in the safety tips segment, they said "If you follow these safety tips, everyone will be happy and gay." In another show, they stated that everybody should be happy and gay, probably mishearing the question or perhaps not.
Ace and Gary are followers of the "buddy system" that states you should have someone with you at all times for safety reasons, especially biking, crossing the street, and showering. This could explain why they are always together and holding hands in public.
Gary always sits on Ace while he flies, because, unlike his friend, he only has super strength and no flying powers. |

I'll just use the Colbert logic: as long as it's on Wikipedia, it's true, for however long it may last.
Thanks for inserting me into Wikiality. |
