In the UK there are little shops that sell scale model replicas of old 1700's & 1800's British army & battelfields etc. I need to know what those shops are called. Model shop? Hobby shop? scale model shop? what?
Thank you in advance! |

| They are called "Shoppes For People Who Will At Some Point In Their Life Have 16 Cats And Very Likely Already Wear Women's Knickers Under Their Pin-stripe Suit". |

| Maybe I should clarify that since I can't/don't have kids of my own, I've lavished my nephew with electric trains and we've built seaports connecting towns with trains on an HO scale. My brother is going to be on the lookout for stuff to get him while in London for two days this coming November. We're trying to find out what they call those model shops in England. Thanks again for positive helpful responses. |

I call it a hobby/hobbiest store/shop. And while I am British, I have never set foot on any British soil and have an American accent |

Thanks all, was thinking that the British might have a special name for the shops that sell those, I've heard (years ago) that these were specialty shops and the peices could be quite expensive because they're hand painted, etc.
Edit: These peices cost about 40 pounds each! Jesus Christ! |
