So today walking home minding my own business, then suddenly a milk carton explodes on the sidewalk right beside me. I wheel round instantly, bring it on!. But my attacker is nowhere to be seen.
I stare out every street seller crowded along the street. Who threw that? i ask. Everyone looks at me, nobody says a word. Some woman is waving her hands and nodding her head in dismay. But all are apparently dumbstruck.
Obviously some jerk thought it'd be good to throw something at a foreigner, before hiding. nice. Next time i'll catch the idiot and thump him into the middle of next chusok.
first time anyones ever thrown anything at me here! Has it happened to you? |

I had a cigarette flicked right at my face when walking down the street. I even saw the guy do it, as he was walking toward me. He saw me, no doubt about it. I ducked, and it hit a Korean girl walking behind me in the neck. Although I was pissed, buddy was getting a lot of greif for it from the Korean girl and her boyfriend. i think the guy tried to play it like it was my fault. I blended as best as I could into the background. I had been in the country for about 10 days (my second saturday in country). |

I had a gang of Jindo dogs attack me for no reason other than I was on my way to meet my master after school and I crossed through their turf. I smiled at them and they growled like a pack of Hyenas. If it weren't for my superior skillz and dogjit-su training, I would have been reduced to a bloody pup.
I think there was an angel watching over me that day.
I'm tellin you guyz, this whole foreigner aggression thing goes way beyond human cultural boundaries in the land of the morning clams. |

I think you should have picked it up and drank it. That would have been the right play. |

Heck the other day it rained....and beleive it or not I got wet.
Damn Korean racists...they made sure the rain would target me!
Then there was the time when I car drove by and hit a puddle, I was walking with 3 Korean friends and we all got splashed...but I swear the driver was trying to aim the water at me...I ran him down at the next traffic stop, opened his door and tossed my ever ready bucket of outraged westerner water in his face.
That sure told him and everyone around....

Why is this the 2nd such post in which I'm asked to make a decision? Why should I decide? I hate making decisions; that's why I eat the exact same thing for dinner every night.
(and you think I'm joking)

I was walking home yesterday and when 3 high school girls walked by me they said "FU*K YOU" right to my face and then laughed. Was it racist? Maybe. But I don't care, they are just stupid high school girls. Now if the other 47,999,997 people say it to me, then I will be really pissed. |

Way, way overdramatic as usual Homer. Why not simply say that it wasn't racist at all but likely just some punk kids playing a joke? I remember kids egging cars when I was younger. I would be inclined to say it was just stupidity, not racism. |

Yes and Homer is well respected by Koreans. He never experiences racism here. They see him on the street and say, "That is the wannabe Korean on the internet with the stupid name. He defends our boorish ways". Yes, Homer goes through life in Korea without the staring, hello chants, etc. Anyone who defends the behavior of these peasants is a sick person indeed. Sick. |
