I sincerely hope you end up spending the rest of your life in Korea.

The other day I banged my head against the ceiling of a bus. Not an attack, I know, but it's still Korea's fault for having such short people.

Damn them!

I was standing outside my hagwon with two other foreigners once, when a bottle (thrown from about the 3rd or 4th floor) exploded right in the middle of where we were standing. Probably would have required a trip to the hospital at the bare minimum. Racist? Well, it was either completely random (i.e. the kid threw it out the window without looking,) or completely racist (i.e. the kid saw three waygooks standing in formation and thought it was too good a chance to pass up.)

You see Guri...I figured the OP was meant in jest...as a joke...hence my response.

You need to stop taking everything so literally my little friend (by the way...I am not calling you little).

You should also respond to cheem Guri...he might need your medicine as well... Laughing

Or does your obsession end with me? Laughing

You hold yourself in pretty high esteem there Homer. I am not obsessed with you at all. I merely thought your reply was a little droll. I am sure some of my posts are too. Just my opinion.
The one about crying about it was funny though. Props to Coldcrush. Cool avatar too.

People who use more than one emoticon per message have been proven beyond statistical doubt to be douchebags. Just an fyi.

What about when it is the same emoticon used more than once?

Does it have to be different emoticons?

What about different emoticons used only once?

Confusing guidelines thundarr....

I read another report that says that people who count emoticons or read reports about statistical studies that count emoticons are in need of purchasing a life.

Just a fyi.

If it makes the OP feel any better, a few years ago I had some middle schoolers I was tutoring that just LOVED to throw random objects (anything ranging from paper airplanes to notebooks to CD's to cans) out the 8th floor window down to the busy street when I left the room. There weren't any targets in particular, though, except one time when I was grabbing a snack outside for my break and I heard "Teacher!" and looked up to see them drop a bunch of papers and confetti they had made.

A few weeks later one of them got in big trouble for throwing a coke can out and hitting a girl in the head, causing her to bleed and her mother to threaten to sue the school. The kid was gone after that...

Ditto: Many places in country.

Still love the place enough to help out a real b'tard N.I.S. guy and have to face a Supended Sentence from the Supreme Court of the R.O.K.

By the way, I realise that I'm completely gone.

You may be right. However, at least I know the a/an rule.

yes the thread title was a joke because the attack was mild and it plays on the other thread of the same name.

However...the packet of milk hit with such force right beside me, that it had to have been thrown deliberately. There was nowhere nearby that it could have dropped from. When you add up years of adverse reactions from Koreans to foreigners (usually done from behind your back and in a cowardly way), then it becomes easy to assume it was deliberate.

Not a drop touched me, but if it had flown a foot to the right it could have hit me in the eye or face.

It could also be that since you probably stand out, you are therefore an easy target. That's what happened to me when I was attacked- the guy was schizophrenic, and I just grabbed his attention. Wrong place, wrong time. Could've have been a psycho trying to nail you, or just some ill-mannered kid who has bad parents who didn't raise him/her properly, etc.

Last Sun. I was walking in Itaewon past that big building with the bluish glass across from the Itaewon hotel. Some guys were cleaning the windows, and the guy lost control of his hose^^. I was sprayed a bit, but the girl behind me got it. Just an accident that time.

Heh- if someone threw that carton at me and missed, I would have just laughed and called out, "You missed, 'mofo!" Twisted Evil

We always used to throw cartons of milk at each other in school. The thing to do was to peel off as much of the label/packaging as possible, and then run the carton under water. This way it was virtually impossible for the carton not to explode on impact. And it was even better if you got somebody on the head, face or eye - although we had to wear black blazers and the milk made some nasty stains.

Since this title is an obvious comment on my previous thread on the general discussion, I feel inclined to add my two cents worth (probably not even worth that much).

Before coming to Korea, my Korean University students in North America complained about westerners throwing eggs at them at a bus stop while making racist comments in English. This pissed me off. I have never been able to tolerate racism of any kind or any form.

After coming to Korea, with the interest in experiencing being a minority group in another country, I was amazed to see how blatantly obviously racist some Koreans are to foreigners (Korean only restaurants, clubs, hate stares, etc.). My previous post was to stimulate discussion regarding this issue. Not to say my incident was spawned by obvious racist motivations, however, many, many other stories had been. Anyways, have your fun, bantering on the post . .. enjoy . .
