Gerry Bevers presents in his blog rather extensive research that casts doubt on Korea's claims that Dokdo appears on old Korean maps. He argues that these claims are a result of poor research and wishful thinking. His own research shows that the islands that are said to be 'Dodko' are in fact islands located much closer to Ulleungdo.

I would be surprised if any non Korean buys into the Korean Dokdo fraud anymore. |

Excellent article and blog and another nail in the coffin for Koreans claiming "Dokdo". Oops, I meant Takashima.
I am sure a few apologists are still toeing the "party line" Shakuhachi.  |
