I wrote this years ago. Someone put it on another website, which was surprisingly easy to find on a google search for the title.

==============================================

"Foreigner Sings the Blues"

I went for a walk and what did I see?
Lots of strange faces were looking at me.
I tried to talk, and guess what occurred?
No one understood me, not even a word.

Went for some grub at a small joint nearby-
Later that evening I thought I might die.
My stomach got noisy, my mind filled with gloom,
And I spent a good hour stuck in my bathroom.
So I went to the doctor and he gave me some pills
To get rid of the shakes and the sweats and the chills.
And when I felt better I went for some beer-
Woke up the next day tryin' to remember the year.

Well I liked this girl so I touched her hand.
She told me, "Sorry, you're from a strange land."
I guess she's never been outside this place
To make a big deal of the nose on my face.

I went to my job but my boss wasn't kind-
He took my money and left me behind.
Still I worked hard and didn't complain
Despite the mistreatment and goin' insane.
I felt as lonesome as a rock in the sea
Until I heard that you're worse off than me.
I hope things get better but I doubt they will
Unless you find a place that's a thrill.
That's why I'm headin' to another strange land,
Hopin' somebody there just might take my hand.

I would write a poem too but the only word I can think of that rhymes with Korea is diarrhea.

'Gonorrhea' rhymes with Korea, too.

Yeah but I meant words which would be relevant to living in Korea.

Gonorrhea isn't relevant to Korea? Which country might it be relevant to? Bolivia? Ghana? Canada?

And what's relevance got to do with anything?

From the adjossie's perspective...

I went for a walk
and what did i see?
a strange looking creature,
just walking by me

On closer inspection
(i needed to stare)
this strange walking creature,
was covered in HAIR...

It's nose was enormous,
and had gleaming white teeth
It wore a white shirt,
with a red coloured leaf

it was really quite ugly,
and boy! was it fat...
it's arse was the size,
of an office-tel flat

and walking beside it
(it pained me to see)
was one of OUR women
the shameless huss-ey

And so i went home
and i belted my wife
To make me feel better
about my own life

I blamed the strange creature
for all of my woes
(my salary slump
and the job that i chose)

And i made a self-promise
that the next time i saw
another waegookin
and his cheap hanguk *beep*

I'd stare at him fiercely
and spit on shoe
i'd then stick my finger
right up his woo-hoo

And now feeling better
about what i would do
I went to a hoff
and got pissed on so-ju....

the end
