Heres the deal.
I teach an adult class.
Student A:
- used to listen to heavy metal in the 1970s: Led Zeppelin, Lynard Skynard, Deep Purple, etc.
-Used to climb mountains in the Andes.
- currently likes Kenny G and Michael Bolton and Korean traditional music.
- no longer scales dangerous, icy cliffs. Instead he plays golf.
My question: is taking up golf the equivalent of admitting you are pretty much castrated as a man? What self respecting male would pick up a game like golf anyway? |

They're not even considered music. |

There are few places in the urban life of a man more soothing and beautiful than a golf course.
And it's no less a sport than baseball, and a golf ball is in fact harder to hit long and straight than it is to smack a baseball into centre field.
It is not a lame game.
But beginners often look lame when they try to play it. |

as a girl...i say playing golf rocks. watching is lame. but if you get out there and hit a sweet drive/putt/chip...it's awesome. good reason to drink some beer outside and have fun w/ a cart.
beer equates to manliness? |

Tiger Woods on Playstation is fun. I'm sure, were I able to play it in real life, I'd dig golf like I smell nice.

Do you teach them that it's OK to omit apostrophes?
Poor-quality teacher alert! I bet you also seduce your handsome male students, don't you? Admit it, jinju!
I hope you burn slow.

To my knowledge, it's the only sport in the world that you can play everyday for 25 years and still die fat and out of shape by 45...well, besides competitive eating (I know, it isn't a really a sport...but neither is golf). |

Sumo wrestlers and football players practice their respective sport everyday for 25 years? They'd be injured all the time. The only serious injury you get from golf is when you crash the cart because you were driving drunk. |
