|
|
I reformatted my hard drive recently and have been having problems with the Korean language input ever since. A few examples:
- Some notepad files I had that contained Korean now contain gibberish.
- Icons on my desktop which were labeled in Korean are now labeled with gibberish.
- The online music program I use won't display Korean characters when I hti the lyrics button.
- Filenames labeled in Korean will not open.
That's about it. Korean is the default input language, and I have the East Asian language pack as well as a Korean keyboard installed. I can usually read Korean on web sites and I can write it 이렇게.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Start--> Control Panel--> Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options--> Regional and Language Options--> Advanced
Under the heading "Language for non-Unicode programs", select Korean from the drop-down options. Hit "apply". You'll be asked to insert your XP cd and then be req'd to re-boot. Should work. The only problem will be that Google and will always go to Google Korea, etc. |
