Just want to spread the word on this little gem of a store. I recently found out it's Japanese.
It's in the Lotte Young department store in Myeong-dong (just go straight out exit 7 of Euljiro 1-ga) on the very top floor.
Very nice, good quality, plain clothing and excellent prices. I just wanna keep this place in business because it's the best clothing store I've been to in four years here!
Oh yeah, it has both men's and women's clothes. |

Thanks for the heads up. Every time I go to Japan I drop a ton of cash there. How big is the store here? What are the prices like? |

Stuff there is actually a little cheaper than in Japan (or equivalent depending on the exchange rate). When they have sales, it's wondeful! I was delighted to find it here too after buying so much in Japan.
Last weekend, I picked up two pairs of pants for 10,000 won (5,000 each) !!!! Amazing. Store size is smaller than those in Japan...but still definitely worth a trip if you're in the area and need some basics. |

Agree with the uniqlo recco - it is kinda like a upmarket Asian Old Navy (but with cooler clothes).
I just finished up three years in Japan and uniqlo is a great spot to pick up the basics - I have about eight pairs of flat-front, no-iron trousers hanging in my closet right now. I nearly exclaimed for joy when I rode the bus by the myeong-dong shop and saw it for the first time the other day.
No worries from me about that store going out of business - it is right in the heart of a Japanese tourist district - those guys alone will keep them in business. |

why do you reckon they'd buy Uniqlo in Korea when they can get it at home?
btw, Uniqlo has come to the US as well, there is a pop-up store in NYC but they are doing construction on a permanent location now and they're planning on doing a massive campaign to get their name out by having containers (like the shipping kind) set up randomly around the city with their own mini dressing rooms and staff |

Actually, its cheaper in Japan than Korea (exchange rate and foreign markup). I just came back from Fukuoka so was able to compare the prices.
Yes Uniqlo is one of....ok the only shop I buy most of my clothes from (apart from the Nikes and other labelled brands). Very happy with the quality that is neither too cheap or too expensive for everyday clothes.
It is a gem alright |

Just went there yesterday and got some good stuff - including plain white comfy under-shirts. As someone else said, clothes there are great for work.
Interesting too that the Muji store is in the same building - also from Japan...I guess the Japanese like to see their own stores in Korea...Lotte is Japanese/Korean itself. |
