hey there,
i arrived in gimhae about two weeks ago and am finding it kind of isolating. since i got my job through EPIK i know a bunch of people around the country, but would love to meet some foreigners in my city... i've only seen one foreigner since i got here and he more or less ran away (i don't think i'm scary looking at all - maybe it's because i was with two other white girls???) so it would be nice to know i'm not alone - shout out if you're around... thanks!
--hope this doesn't sound desperate, i'm just so bored...

Is this gimhae near Busan? Try checking out pusanweb.com. Lots of info about what is going on in Busan, where to eat, where to drink, etc. |

lizmtl,
I am sure that you are not the only one, be patient, ask your co-workers how many hagwons there are in Gimhae, chances are at least 1 waygookin works at each.
I would imagine though most of them are more "socially" active in Busan than Gimhae.
You say you have only been in Kland for two weeks, so thats likely why you have not met any yet. Be patient, good luck |

i lived in gimhae (well, jangyu to be exact) for 4 months.. and i'll be honest- i felt exactly like you did, and it didn't get any better. that's why i quit my job (no midnight run, i might add!) and came to seoul. i hope it gets better for you, but don't be surprised if it doesn't. best of luck to you.. |

Just so you know if you are in gimhae everyone will be going into Busan for their soical life. It is 45 min away on public transit, however in a cab it's like 20 min.
Go to Kung-Sung in Busan... Lots of bars there. Check out "vinyl" and "Old 55" there will be lots of ESL teacherrs in those bars. |
