I recently downloaded the game (again) in hopes that the "long filename" problem would be solved. It's not. Here's someone's enigmatic advice:

This tutorial works for any game that has the problem of having filenames that are too long for the FATX filesystem on Xbox harddrives. Examples are TOCA Race Driver 3, NBA Live 2006, etc.
* REQUIREMENT: Softmodded XBox running NKPatcher v8.1 or above.
Get attach.xbe from the usual place -path is /XBOX/apps/filemanagers/driveimageutils/driveimageutils-v1.0.1.zip.
Inside this zip is a file called /component/attach.xbe
Edit the game title of attach.xbe to "Whatever gamename" using C-Xbox Tool or any other XBE title renamer. If you don't edit, the title of the game will be "ATTACHER VIRTUAL DISC".
Once that is done, rename the attach.xbe to default.xbe
FTP the FULL (gamename).ISO and the default.xbe (renamed from attach.xbe) to the same folder on the Xbox.
Now run this default.xbe from your favourite dashboard...and voila, the game now runs fine! |
