I don't know about all you fellas but I gotta tell you.... the apples I'm eating this year are by far the BEST apples I have EVER EVER had. It's unbelievable. |

I have to agree with you. Especially the red apples. I eat one every morning. |

The apples are good for Korean apples this year, but I find them way too sweet. I miss my cortlands, macs, and granny smiths.... |

Ahhh....Granny Smith, where are you? Selection, where are you? Although I do have to agree that the nice red ones are very tasty here. Crispy and fresh. Good eating definitely. I just wish they weren't so expensive. |

Just one more thing that makes me want to make me move home: fruit variety.
(I grew up in apple country. *sniff* ) |

I LOVE the sweet apples. During the summer when it was hard to find the red apples I ate fewer apples. Thank god the red ones are back! |

Crap. I forgot and ate one. Wasn't my fault, though. I'm trained to eat almost anything that's put in front of me. And lately there've been lots more fruit plates than usual. Sliced apples, melons, pineapples, oranges, grapes -- all the fruits are there. And invariably a goblet of coloured water at the centre belching dry ice "smoke". I expect I'll see another one tonight, but will heed the OP's advice and avoid the apple. |

I've found granny smiths in a grocery store in Yongdeungpo. They're pretty tart, even for granny smiths. jlb, I'll bring you some the week of Chuseok if you want to carry them! |

It's a little grocery store in the basement of a building. It's sort of south of Sinpung Station, near the Shindaebang apartments. I know that doesn't help much. I don't know if they stock them regularly. The few times I've been there, though, they've had them. |
