I love this store.

It is in Jeongja, on that street that is lined with cake and coffee places and such. I would say it's about halfway between Subway and Huckleberry farms, on the same side of the street.

If Huckleberry farms is at your back (Migeum is at your back), cross the street. There's an archway on your right, directly across from Shinhan bank - go down there and it's on your left. Out front they have chips and soda.

They have imported goods from the US and Japan. I couldn't really tell you what they have from Japan. From the US they have cheeses, real bagles (though frozen), root beer, club soda, dr. pepper, all sorts of Dunkin Heinz cake and brownie mixes, avacados, lots of great cereals, spices, a good selection of alcohol, lots of different sauces and salad dressings, dill pickles, applesauce, mac and cheese, and much more. It also has a lot of western bathroom products like shampoos, face washes etc (I've even seen Burt's Bees there.) They also have deodorants, multivitamins, supplements, feminine products, western medicines (benadryl, dayquil, nyquil), and cooking gear.

It's a tiny, tiny store, but it has a lot cramped on its sliding shelves. I usually walk out with one heavy, stuffed shopping bag, having spent about 40-50k.

Enjoy!

Thanks maeil. I still don't know where that is, and I have been here in Jeongja a few weeks, but I'm sure I'll find it soon enough. Is it near jeongja station or closer to Migeum stn?

Closer to Jeongja. Do you know that big apartment building "Paragon"? it says Paragon down the side. Well, if you're on that corner, with Migeum to your back and Sunae in front of you, make a left and walk toward the Baskin Robbins. When you get to Baskin Robbins you'll see a street there.

You'll also see a row of nice apartment buildings with negative space that allows you to walk beneath the arches. Those arches are the ones maeil mentioned. There are shops there, and ilovecookie is in there (you can follow maeil's directions from there.)

If you can find Subtwat, its 25 metres around the corner on your left going away from the big buildings ie RankView.

Its a hole in the wall place, mostly sourced from...Guam?

Expect to pay double to triple what you would back home.

They have the best pickle(Its kosher!) and jalapeno selection here, bar none.

I've put some info about it on the wiki here.

Feel free to add if you can, especially really clear directions. I'm not sure I could follow the directions on this thread. If somebody could take a picture and upload that would be awesome. Very Happy

Its really simple.

Find subtwat on the main street.Next to that is Aloha Burger.Across the road is Ampuro.

Walking back towards Jeongja station, away from Park View Apartment and Tan stream, just go 25 metres and turn left..You'll see the bags of crisps out front.Do not enter the courtyard.

I wish ilovecookie had a map on their site.

Anyway, once you see those apartment buildings with the arches and courtyards, you'll be fine. Here's what they look like:
http://estate.mk.co.kr/living/susang_view.php?order=9&no=114

However, remember that Subway is not really on the "main" street. 성남대로 is the main street where Jeongja, Migeum, and Ori subway stations are. Subway, Aloha Burger, Kraze Burger, etc. are on the street that runs parallel to it.

Let's collaborate on this:

1) Walk straight out of Jeongja Station, Exit 4.
2) Walk one block. When you get to the corner with the Equus (sp?) dealership, turn left
3) Walk 1/2 block until the Baskin Robbins.
4) To your right is Dongang Paragon apartments. ilovecookie is in building number 102. 102 is second building you'll come to.

Sounds about right, Smee.

I went there tonight. The selection of cheeses has gotten a lot better, but pricier. They finally got in Lucky Charms Smile Picked up a 3-pound tub of instant oatmeal, some Colby cheese, and Tootsie rolls. As always I was impressed by the spice selection, and the soda selection seems to have grown too. I don't remember seeing Fresca before. Also, I saw two things people on this board have looked for: vanilla extract and Clearasil - they have the whole line of Clearasil products, from face wash to spot treatment to acne pads. They're each about 10k.

Still no graham crackers, though... and that's a shame.

I'll take pics next time I go out there... though that is probably not for a few weeks. Those three items alone put me back 20k.. ouch.

Or everyone could just go to their website and see all their products for themselves...
