Hey,
Does anybody know how to send text messages internationally? I have been able to receive messages from my friends in Canada but they aren't receiving the ones that I send to them.
Any other phone I've had, I've had the ability to use the + sign, which usually is needed for international texts, but my phone here doesn't have it, or allow me to use it in the number area.
If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Diana |

I used this a few months ago when I needed to send a message to about 20 phones around the world and it worked for all but 2 of them. You need to buy time though.

As far as I know, the only carrier that allows you to SEND sms messages direct from your cell is Daycom.
Send your sms to: 002-1-areacode-phone-number |

I've been sending them to my brother in the USA...I use LG, and it's not a special deal or anything...
I just dial 001-1-(area code)-(phone number) |

As far as I know, dialing direct to Canada (001-1), as previously suggested, doesn't work with Canada. Instead of the 001 prefix, put 00700 or 00365. I have been successful in sending SMS messages to both of my parents' cells in Canada through those longdistance providers. Consequently, 00700 and 00365 are also the two cheapest services to make calls to Canada, as well.
Code: |
00700-1-(area code)-(number)
OR
00365-1-(area code)-(number) |

Wow, I had no idea you could send texts to the states!
Does it cost a lot of money? Does your phone have a sim card? Do you do the pay-as-you-go or an actual acount? |

Thanks for all the suggestions! I keep trying them and none seem to be working for me. I am with KTF and it won't seem to let me enter a number that long for text messages, I will give them all a shot though and hope one finally works. I really appreciate everyone's input! |

001 is Korea Telecom and they are the MOST expensive choice available. |

to send to NZ you need to add 1415 before country code... Im with SK
so you might need to add some number first like that... my korean friend found the info for me on an independent website... |

I'm with SK Telecom and able to send international texts by putting 001 or 002 before the country code and phone number.
If you have a mac, get the callwave SMS widget, and you can send free text to pretty much anywhere in the world ^^ |
