But there are 2 or 3 regular bars there and that's where I went.

And even on the main strip I have seen problems; in the Loft for one.
Saw a Nigerian kicking the stuffing out of a Korean doorman because the Korean doorman didn't want to let any more Nigerians in...as some had already gone in and molested women.
Another night had another African start talking smack in the bathroom to another about how "we're Africans, be proud, we're not like this *sniff* American...over here" *pointing at me.*
[And he later approached me to talk more smack and tell me that 'us' whites were 'arrogant' and he how couldn't wait for "another 9/11"...
:wink: ]
In any case, I'll better all suggestions of staying off of Hooker Hill.
It's very, very unlikely I'll even bother going to Itaewon after dark.
Too many Africans and not enough law.
I'll stick to places that attract Koreans...and other mellow foreigners...who are not so racist and pack attack people based on the color of their skin or the likeliness that they can fend off multuple attackers. :P

That's Sah-Lee -a great guy who sells a very good, usually, product.
That you were singled out for being a caucasian North American is not untypical of too many of the Weekend African Crowd on Hooker Hill. Still sucks, eh.
As I learned, many Africans have a bad agenda that could leave a trustworthy caucasian heaving puke for months as a result.

That's been my experience with them too. A lot of them are stressed and depressed. They're in a land that often discriminates against them. They work hard. Many of them don't earn the best salaries. Lots of them miss their families. Most of them are kind and decent people. but maybe a few of them can't handle the pressure and boil over and lose it. What can u do? But you failed to mention where pack attacking someone was right. Just because they are a minority here, doesn't make it right.
If the African in question did, in fact call the OP a 'whitey', it shows he was motivated by race. If he makes a spectacle of himself on the street, he deserves to have a crowd of gawkers around. It's natural.
If the OP holds some racist views about Africans, it has no bearing on this crime unless
a) He showed these particular Africans his disdain for their kind
or
b) They knew him already and his opinion
But neither of these nseem to be the case here. Wow!! A racially motivated crime done against whites by non-whites??? The hell you say!! I have never been chased down the street by indian kids while collecting money for my paper route. But that's beside the point.

You guys (or girls maybe?) try to restart an argument that the OP has already given up. Why? One side was censored and one side was not. Lame ass Dave's ESL Cafe shit, so normal, so predictable.
Ok, the African guy picks up a weapon. At this point, you either fight or run. And if you fight, there's nothing wrong with jumping the bell. There's no honour in fighting, which is a dirty act in itself. Jumping a guy from behind is a tactic I expected from Korean guys, but this time, they're innocent. Honestly, these African guys are built like brick shit houses, and I don't see why they need to gang up on a guy or use a weapon.
Then this post degrades into an argument about immigration policies. I was all for open immigration until we started letting in diarrhea into our country. What is racist about a selective immigration policy? We all want people to help us build a country. Why Korea lets in Africans is a mystery to me.
I have come to agree with the policies of Itaewon bars who don't want to let Africans in anymore. Even if only, let's say, 20% of them are bad, that's a 20% that is going to seriously hurt business. And why some of us scold the bars who ban them (remember Manhattan?) and stand up for them is another thing I will never understand.
It comes down to this. If these minority groups want fair treatment in this country, or any other country for that matter, they've gotta start acting like human beings. |
