As a former woman on here, I have to say "nice one" to Alyssa. Quite an impressive troll.
Almost too female though. And of course the confusion with minor details, leading you to make even more unlikely claims to cover your errors. Should've got your story straight at the beginning.
Throwing in the occasional spelling mistake to appear dumb and thus sexy was a nice touch, but a little obvious too because you spell very well in other posts.

I won't comment on what I think of Alyssa, cause it just isn't valid. But if you read her OP, it is quite obviously she is either extremely unobservant, trolling or knows crap about Korea. I am going with the third one, and I am betting she is one of those people who never actually get to know the culture. They may say they have token friends and do token things, but they know very little about the culture.
Second, the only country I haven't heard anyone boast about yet is New Zealand. And to be honest, I wish they would stop always cricizing themselves (mostly about the Maori) and start boasting atleast a little bit

She is great. Which woman were you? Were you hot?

Yep, no other country does this, right? Every country does this. Every country has rabit nationalists, Canada, America, Britian, Japan, China, etc... Ever heard a Canadian go on about Canada? Or an American about what America has done for the world? Or a Brit talking about how the Empire was the start of everything? Or an Aussie who goes on about how their ancestors were all men's men and such? Or the Japanese who suddenly appeared upon Japan? I won't even go into the Chinese |
Yeah every country has rabid nationalists, but it seems there are a whole lot more per head of population in korea than in many other countrys. Fair enough though, they do have a lot to prove, in 5000 years it's not like they've contributed all that much. The sense of nationalism seems to be bubbling under the surface of many koreans i've met in my time here, they take any opportunity to tell you the latest and greatest whilst hiding the flaws. |
"No chair for foreigner" GM Daewoo head told
The automobile association's rule states that only Koreans can lead.... The "no-foreigners" rule was first made in 2001 when then-Samsung Motor was being sold to Renault.
An official at the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association said it was unthinkable in a global era to have a regulation that denies a foreigner chairmanship. He added that Carlos Ghosn, Nissan Motor president, could head the Japanese association.

Lotteria/Dunkin Donuts point cards: "No Americans"
http://www.eslcafe.com/forums/korea/viewtopic.php?t=37495&start=30
Michael Breen, a British journalist, quotes a foreign banker who worked closely with a chaebol as saying:
"I make a point never to buy any Korean products on principle. Why? I will not support such a rabidly nationalistic, xenophobic, and mercantilist economy. Koreans are so predatory and nationalistic. They have a closed economy and a zero-sum attitude to trade. Protectionism in the early stages of an economy is not unreasonable. But in the case of Korea it is almost a religious doctrine to keep foreign things out. If you buy a foreign car, you're seen as a traitor. They pick narrow industrial sectors and all jump in like copycats. If I see a Korean sports team, I root for the other side. Why? Because they're so full of themselves that they leave no room for other parties to participate and enjoy themselves. The 1988 Olympics was worse than the Hitler Games of 1936. Dealing with Koreans is like dealing with bright adolescents. They're full of energy and want to do everything yesterday. But they throw tantrums and are prone to dangerous and erratic behavior if their whims are not indulged. In most countries, intellectuals become universal. You learn that great ideas and values have no national boundaries. What is profoundly disturbing is that Korean intellectuals become more xenophobic and nationalistic, and perpetuate the idea that all of Korea's problems are the result of wilfulness by foreigners. This is the mark of a scoundrel."

Wow! What an alternatingly disturbing and entertaining thread. I want to echo other voices that the original and later musings about the OPs appearance were disgusting. Sexism rears it's ugly head. Sometimes I'm embarrassed to be a man.
Now that I've vented that - can someone kindly tell me what the deal with trolls are? I've wiki'd it, but don't get it. If the OP is a troll, with what purpose? Entertainment? Do all trolls share a common motivation? |

I just ignore anyone who brags about their heritage or country. Sometimes it actually comes up and it's fun to talk about, but the braggers just get ignored by me. Or I start asking detailed questions if I am in a bad mood |
Like the Easter Bunny? He's big in Canada. HUGE in fact. |

Mr. Camara boy...............actually this is my last response to you, not only am I glad you came here to get married (and saved some poor "northern" girl so much regret) I am also glad you post so much here, it shows what a sad sad person you are. Sure, I post sometimes when I am lonely, just to rant, but you, why you seem to practically live here. Now that is a problem, especially since you are married. I guess you have so much fun with your wife, that you spend hours tracking my old messages, and hours trying to make daves cafe think you know it all, and in fact you are a little lost man, in a little lost country, with a little camera, trying to grow up. I really do wish you could meet my boyfriend, in fact he is going to visit this winter, why not meet him say to his face what you have said to me. Maybe you would not be so big then |

Does he look like Ivan Drago? Because I really pictured you as Bridgette Nielsen while reading that.

Do you think your boyfriend will be pleased to know that you're setting him up for confrontations before he ever steps foot on the plane? |

Alyssa has to be Flotsam's sock. It's the only explanation. His jealousy of the Princess sock became too much for him to handle. Doing a damn fine job at it, too, I must say. |

I thought she was real but now I think she's fake. It's just too too typical. Right down to the "I post on dave's at all hours of the day, but I think people who post of dave's are lame" schtick.
And on her profile her hobby is listed as "shopping (of coarse) [sic]" I don't think anybody is dumb enough to misspell 'course' on their profile. It's like the guy is making fun of women. |
