Had my first encounter getting out of the shower today. Hopefully its my last as well. Cant stand those things. |

Do you mean those long legged ones? There was one in the classroom and the kids got so excited I thought it was deadly poisonous or something (never haveing seen the long legged version before). Found it on Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_centipede

They were always in my basement back in the US. Haven't seen any here yet, and I don't want to think about "centipede season." Insects are my number one fear. I saw a "banana spider" at my school and cried for 3 days. |

On Monday I found 5 earwigs in my apartment. Those things creep the hell out of me, man.

If you mean those big red and black buggers, I agree. Never did get used to them. AND THEY DO BITE!! The picture in the entry AIN'T them. These are about 6 inches long with only two legs on each segment. |
