Okay, I'm newly arrived back home after a 5-year stint in the hagwan trenches. I've brought back my Korean desktop PC & moniter, both of which have served me well. Problem is, the "switchable" power supply in the PC is anything but. I've taken the thing apart in every way possible, yet no such switch exists. And, yes, I've tried simply switching power cords. I've taken it to a couple PC service places, and they either cowered in confusion and fear... or wanted to charge me a whole bunch o' cash.

I know many, many people have taken Korean comps home with them... can anybody get me pointed in the right direction?

The easiest answer is to just buy a new power supply.

It should cost you about US$35.

You can change it yourself. Takes about 10 minutes.
