| Is there any way to keep my monitor from dimming when it's on battery power? I tried changing around the settings for battery power but got no change. |

 Do you mean when the settings for "power management" take over? Otherwise, I don't have the faintest idea of what you are referring to. If so, then do the following:
-Right click on your desktop and choose properties
-Go to the tab that says screensaver
on the bottom you sould see "Monitor Power" and button in that box that says "power".
-click the button that says "power"
-Under Power schemes, look at where it says "Turn off Monitor" "Turn off Hard disk" "System Standby".
Adjust the settings accordingly then press apply then ok.
Viola!

| My laptop (Samsung SensP25) has the monitor going dim on battery power also. I assume it is a power saving process. I just use the function (FN) key and the brighter up key to bring it back up to normal viewing brightness where it will stay. |

| Did you check the bios? There are power saving features in the bios and that sounds like one. It may not be windows doing to you. |
