Hi, I got two questions and any advice would be greatly appreciated:

1) If I bring a lap top computer is it easy to get internet in my home in Korea. Also, would they wireless in internet cafes be compatible with the blue tooth on my computer from Canada.

2) My friend pulled a runner and is returning. He is filling out his Visa application and wondering if he should put down that he has previously worked in Korea on the application. Thus far, he has not told the new school, and has not run into any conflicts.

Thanks

Sure, tell your friend to lie on a document submitted to a government, that's always a good idea! If he doesn't put it down and they find out (ie. they look in the computer and see that he's had a VISA before) they might get a bit upset and refuse his new application.

Tell him to do what he wants. The VISA application should not be seen by the school, only the consulate or embassy that he submits it to. So why not be honest on it?

It is EXTREMELY easy to get internet set up in your house. Have somone from your school call and book the appointment the day you arrive, they will likely come the next day, 30 minutes later - job done.

Don't know much about BlueTooth as I don't use it but if you have a wireless option set up on your home account you will be able to access wi-fi anywhere that you are in range. Ie/ my ISP charged me 10,000 a month more to have wireless access as well, and supplied me with a network password...they claimed that it was hooked to my laptop and that I could not just give the password to anyone else, and I never tried, so who knows. Anyway, when I took my laptop into Starbucks etc, if there was a hotspot set up there, I could log on to it. I don't know if all ISPs offer a service like this, you would have to look into it, but I was just with my local cable TV company for internet, so I can't see it being that unusual.

Thanks, I think he just wanted to know if the school sees the Visa Application which you anwsered. I am sure that he will put down that he previously had a Visa.

Thanks I did not know that it would be that easy. I thought that I would need an alien card before I could do any thing like that.
