I've surmised that the vast majority of foreign teachers in Korea are in their twenties, but I'm curious about the numbers of teachers 30 and older. At 46, will I be the oldest or merely one of the oldest? Thanks for answering the poll question. |

There are already five teachers that I'm aware of who are older than you. |

Out of 8 of us at my uni,3 are in their 30s, 2 are mid 40s and 3 including me in our 50s. I think we are above the norm even for unis but your observations seem to apply to hagwons. I've run into a few (5 or 6) that are 60+ (uni and public school and even 1 woman who works in a hagwon) , so no, you won't be the oldest. |

far from it..
i met an american teacher here in his 60s. he recounted his life of sex tourism to me, and informed me that i should go to some country which doesn't see many whities- papua new guinea being the example he gave- where they would 'worship me as a god'. |

I was good friends with a guy at my 1st hakwon who celebrated his 60th birthday in Korea. He had a couple of women in love with him, and one even left her husband due, I think in large part, to him (even though he had a wife back in NZ). So anyway, he did quite well in Korea^^ |
