I've lived in Korea for over a year, but only been to Seoul a handful of times. I plan on doing a bit of shopping this coming holiday and could use some tips. Such as places for clothing items (shoes especially), computer hardware and software, food, etc.
Biggest help would be on dealing with the sellers as far as bargining and any other things I should keep in mind or be wary of.
Thanks a heap! |

Well, you can try Kungang shoe store in Jongno-3-ga area near Insadong. Its a chain actually. Galleria department store in Apgujeong also has some stuff, including clothes. Other one would be Samsung Plaza in Bundang at Seohyeon station (yellow bundang line). I am sure you can pick some items there.
Computer stuff - Yongsan electronic market (cheaper than Technomart). Get of at Sinyongsan station (line 4 - lighter blue) and follow the exit, go under the railroads (underpass) and continue walking. There are going to be many stores/buildings in the area. |

Yongsan - get off at yongsan station, walk OVER the tracks to geek heaven. Just be aware of what the prices are on sites like DANWA. You can get similar pricing in Yongsan.
