Will the demand to learn English continue to rise? Will it level off? Will it decline?
Personally, I think it will continue to rise. As Korea continues to do business with other countries, learning English will be more important than ever. At the beginning of the year, Korea began to pour over 51 billion USD into their new program (Chung, 2006). This program aims to provide English education to those currently without it.
I'd love to read your input. Real Reality, do you have anything to support or refute the question at hand?

Yeah, it'll keep rising and after I'm long gone people will have a way better opportunity here (or China) than any of us do now.
However someday they will invent a translating machine that will instantly translate what you say into any language you choose. Then it'll all be over. |
