Bought my first one ever tonite. It was really good. Better than Pizza Hut (and cheaper), best I have had in Korea. |

In America i'd definitely order papa John's before a Pizza *beep* pie. papa John's broke away from Domino's sometime back. in my town there's a clone pizza place -- Papa Jun's. |

Pizza Hut isn't hard to beat. Never noticed that weird chemical flavour that their pizza has? It's baking powder. I worked at a pizzaria when I was a student and I learned to recognize that smell and flavour quite well there (you'll also notice that smell and flavour if you buy Korean chapsal 'twisty' doughnuts). Their pizza dough mix simply has too much baking powder in it for them to be able to make a good pizza. |

Papa John's is not great, but it's the best chain pizza available, in Korea or the US. Dominos, Pizza Hut, Little Caesar's, all crap. And goddamnit, Papa John's put a store on the first floor of my apartment building, and it's a 30% discount for all pickup purchases. Why oh why!?!?! |

30% eh? The one near me is 20%. So is the Pizza Hut and Dominos. The redcappizza, which I never have tried, is 15%. It's strange but I live a 5 minute walk from about 12 pizza joints. The independents, generally cheaper ones, around 10,000 for a large, tend to suck, but I have had one or two in the past that were OK. There's a new chain around here too, called Pizza School, that sells large pizzas for 5000 won. I can't see that being any good. |

Domino's Thin Crust is the best by far back home. That is, when you can order it with pepperoni and sausage. Too bad there is no real sausage here... |

Lots of sausages here. Too many, maybe.

Papa John's in Korea is better than in the US. People buy it in the US because they always have coupons that they honor even if you don't have the coupon. |

I did some time in I'chon-Dong, and the Red Cap-uh Peeza was quite tasty.
One pizza pie comes to me mind: A Combination Pizza made up of mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and, allegedly, pepperoni.
The crust was good enough to sneak onto a flight to Sicily for Dinky Dunkin' after the Frost on the Mornin' Pumkin' was sorted out, eh.
Spicier Sicilian Red Sauce meets Red Cap Pizza crust may mean great eating memories for many people on this board.

One bad thing about Papa John's in Korea: no jalapeno peppers. Damn. That was usually the selling point for me. Nothing like a bigass bite of the all meat pizza chased by a huge jalapeno... man.. sorry, but sweet pickles just don't cut it. |

We have a 5000 won place outside our school and it's no worse, (if not better) than Pizza Hut et al and all the Korean chains. |

I've never been that fond of Papa John's. It's okay but I like Pizza Hut better. I guess I like that baking powder flavor their crust has. But there is a better place than both Papa John's and Pizza Hut. It happens to be in Bowling Green, Ohio, so I guess it doesn't really matter. |
