I have a cheque for $700 US that I want to cash in Korea. It's from an established American company. Would the banks do it? Would somewhere like Western Union do it? If yes, where are they? Or do I need to send it back home and get my home to do it and deposit it into my account?

The bank will let you deposit it. My mother sent me a check last year, after me telling her a dozen times not to. It had to be deposited for abut 3 weeks until it cleared.
