Apparently the chick in Auckland's viaduct (where the rich and beautiful go to play) had a bet with some property developer. If he couldn't take her home he would buy everyone in the bar who comes through the bar for the next month a free glass of champagne.

Taking one for the team, the chick refuses his advances. He stays true to his bet and left his amex card with the bartender! It's even up on the bar's website here!

Its just a story made up for advertising.

They get a horrid glass of bubbly and end up paying for a few more drinks or a meal whilst they're there.
