Hi. I am currently in correspondence with Jackie from Worldhunt. He says he has some possible schools for starts in March 2007..he has sent me a sample contract which states that teachers may on request work in multiple schools (any thoughts) and also that teachers may be required to work in the recess in an Office of Education or English Immersion Centre. This was a public school related contract I think. Is there a difference between what public and private schools offer? It makes no mention of paying the apartment rent either? Is this normal for public school positions?


Has anyone dealt with/got jobs with Worldhunt..any responses would be much appreciated.

Go over to www.efl-law.com and go into the forums to ask about world hunt.

They have a pretty poor track record. Jackie is well known to them and has had several recruiting copanies and just keeps changing the name.

In answer to your questions, working at more than place of employment is illegl unless it is approved by immigration and it is written on the back of your Alien Registraion Card (ARC). If it isn't written there, no matter what you are told, it is illegal and you can be fined and deported for it.

Also, housing supplied rent free is a standard perk of teaching English in Korea. If it's not in your contract have it added. If they don't look else where.

When you get your contrcat put it up on here and/or efl-law, minus your's and the school's details and people will point out what is wrong, illegal, etc.
