This line struck me as weird:

1 gig is 1000 mb. Lets say a CD holds 700 mb. That's .7 of a gb.
170 gigs/.7 gigs = 242.9 cds.
Over 30? Sure. A lot over 30.
Maybe he got DVDs and CDs mixed up. 30 4.7 gig DVDs brings us closer. |

maybe I missed something, but they are talking gigaBITS and you are talking gigaBYTES.
Almost an order of magnitude difference there. like between 242.9 and ~30 ?? |

maybe I missed something, but they are talking gigaBITS and you are talking gigaBYTES.
