It's about time! Looking forward to getting familiar with it and the modes of transportation available for getting to other parts of Thailand. |

				| Yes the new airport is open but i would not say it is complete. There are very long lines for simple things and no internet facilities there yet. They are having many problems with luggage too with at least half my flight having their baggage left in Bangkok. So, if you are going there make sure you keep your baggage receipt. On the plus side the new airport looks really cool and the restaurants and shops are great and not at all expensive, no 9000 won bowls of shin raymun. |

They've raised the departure tax to 700 baht at the new airport. |

No they haven't, I just left an hout ago and it was 500 baht.

But on an even worse downside of things, the business/first class lounge doesn't have a smoking room. If dinky-assed Incheon International can have one why can't they put one here? Considering all the chain smoking European sex tourists coming here, it's a wonder they don't have one. Kudos, though, to the open mini bar in the lounge, but the food sucks. |
