| These guys were on that show every week while I was in NA this summer and made the final 4 but that British judge (The other male-not Hasselhof) started voting against them because it was the same act over and over just with different costumes. In 1 show he said to the male performer"Are you stupid?" in a real condescending Simon Cowell type voice. I thought the guy was going to go after him on the spot he was so pissed but it was probably all staged. The woman left the stage in tears. I think they ended up 2nd as the final voting was done by viewers. It would be really interesting to know how they do it. |

On the second-last change, when he wraps her in the long silk curtain, her purple dress is visible under the curtain when she is totally covered otherwise. Then immediately, from top to bottom, the dress is revealed and the purple is gone. That couldn't be done with velcro. I think it has to be done as an optical illusion or something. A physical change couldn't be done instantaneously. But I'm no magician. Reminds me of the immortal words of Reggie White in front of the Wisconsin State legislature:

WHAT? Oh, man.. now where are we to turn for simplistic ethnic generalizations and confusion about whether or not Koreans qualify as Asians?
EDIT: This is creepy. I checked Wikipedia for Reggie White's profile and saw that he lived in Corenelius, NC when he died. That reminded me that.... he was a customer at the bank where I worked and I saw him at least once a week. I never knew he was a football player or famous. To me he was just another rich guy in a tiny town full of millionaires. Now here I am slagging him on the Internet and finally finding out who he is. What a weird, weird feeling. |

Man, that is crazy! What an unbelievable coincedence. Did he have the deep, gravelly voice? He had a lot of admirers, did a lot of great things for people through the church, but didn't help build the impression that men of god are geniuses. Jim Rome played a recording of him giving that speech for months and months, and still plays it sometimes.

Nah, the only interesting things that happened were when the crazy idiots came in. Or the local KFC manager/pedophile who smelled like he used chicken grease for deoderant. One of the tellers actually kept air-spray for when he left. Sometimes an old person would go ballistic if a new teller didn't recognize them because I'VE BEEN BANKING HERE FOR TWENTY YEARS I DON'T HAVE TO SHOW MY ID!!!!
As for Reggie White, I don't really remember too much. He was one of our few black customers, and he was always happy and smiling. Usually came through the drive through and flirted with the hot 40-y.o. Itlian mama that worked there. She was hot for real. Toni. Mm.. |
