Loads of people have done, or are now doing, their online MA through any one of a number of reputable schools. Several others have also gone ahead and done their DELTA, particularly if they want to work in Europe.
It is good that you want to improve your academic credentials in the ESL field, but there is increasingly less and less incentive to do so. Most universities hire experienced BAs now, and the universities that still require MAs have been demanding more and more contact hours for less and less pay.
IMHO, I'd suggest doing an MEd or in a specific field of study outside of the ESL-related diciplines. Those master's programs will still get you in the door, and may provide you with more leverage in the future should you want or need to ship over to a different career path. |
