So, I was given a gift from my school for Chuseok. Every teacher got this huge Spam giftset thing... now, don't get me wrong, I understand the culture and how Spam saved millions of lives back in the war days and all. So I simply smiled and was polite about it. But secretly, honestly, personally, I prefer a much higher grade of meat!! Ummm, much much higher grade... And whilst in other countries, my strange/unpleasant culinary adventures only apply to food invented there.
So, what am I to do with this spam giftset? Any spam lovers on this board perhaps? Or shall I just feed the stray alley cats? Or give it to my security guard? I'd hate to see it go to waste. What would you do with your spam?? |

give to your security guard, he'll really look after you for the rest of your time in the building. |

I second that crazylemongirl. Ours are so good to us after regifting stuff to them. If you get more stuff you don't want, give it to the drycleaners, grocers, baker, whoever you do business with reguarly. It makes a huge difference. |

I'm surprised the makers of SPAM, or just some enterprising Korean on his own, hasn't created a SPAM-themed snack restaurant chain in Korea. The menu would be simple, the prices low, and the taste just like home.
SPAM-wiches: 1,500 ~ 2,000 won
SPAM-bap: 1,300 won
SPAM-myeon: 2,000 won
And for the big spenders, a selection of SPAM anju...
SPAM-gui: 5,000 won
(just slices of fried SPAM & some catsup or gochujang)
SPAM-baengi: 5,000 won
(instead of golbaengi, it's 5 small pieces of SPAM lurking in a tall pile of that cat-piss grass Koreans like)
For a proper sit-down dinner...
SPAM-ghetti: 6,000 won (I'm claiming royalties on that one)
SPAM-gyopsal: 4,000 won
Mexi-SPAM Salad: 2,500 won
and SPAM ice cream. 'suhbis' |

I'd do a photo shoot...or maybe a stop motion animation.

But, seriously, what's wrong with spam?
Its perfectly good when on the go, camping, at the construction site, suplies in a remote cabin or something to have in the cupboard for "emergencies" when you get home after drinking.
I like it & would love to get a spam gift set. |
