Theres a lot of talk about drinking on this board. So, you'd think that there would be a lot of hangovers amongst us. I happen to have one today. So, does anyone have any good remedies? When I was in Korea, kimchi flavoured ramen (drained) with a fried egg helped but it didn't absolutely get rid of it.

The best hangover remedy is to take steps to prevent it. Since alcohol dehydrates your body and that's the source of the problem, drink water before you go to sleep. It doesn't eliminate headaches completely, but it definitely helps.

Bottoms up!

you have to sleep one hour for every beer or drink, if you under sleep it, ie: hangover....it depends on your age and your health, but generally, the best thing to do is take a gram of tylenol and sleep more, or, if you are going to work, don't wear tight clothing, keep drinking water, lots of water and don't eat or drink anything until you shit two times. NO coffee!

don't drink after you're 40, at all...there's no cure....but if you're a *beep*- up, make sure you take at least a gram of milk thistle everday.

Drown the hangover, I find. Lots of water and fruit juices, and then a fatty breakfast, and then some exercise, whether I like it or not.

Of course, this worked in my twenties in dorm, but now I might just as well lie down and die. I would advise trying not to mix drinks and having the odd glass of water the night you're out to minimize the next day's ailments.

I make sure I have a meal in me before I go out, and I take two tablets of Bayer beforehand. I don't mix drinks, and I don't get stupid, and if I feel a little light-headed I switch to water. After a little while I'm good to go.

I know it's tough to move when you're hungover, but try taking a little walk, moving around.

And another good hangover cure is to just make your kids practice essay writing all day long, haha.

Sorry, I don't have a panacea. I do remember seeing infomercials back home a few years ago for some pills that you could take before drinking that'd help fight hangovers.

Thank you. Finally a sensible idea.

That and more drinking should do the trick.

I was introduced to oil of oregano in Canada this summer. My friend had told me the night before we set out on a microbrewery crawl not to worry about drinking too much because she had discovered oil of oregano was a cure all including hangovers so I decided to put it to the test.
Less than 1/2 an hour after I took it the next morning, the headache was gone and within an hour the queasy stomach and dizziness were gone.
I have since had occasion to try it a couple of times since for other upset stomach and headache maladies not brought on by alcohol and it really is amazing how quickly I felt better. I've even been told it will help with colds and flu but fortunately I haven't had to use it for that yet.
Here is some info on it and like the article says, it shouldn't be expensive but it is-about $25 for a small bottle but it is very strong as you only need to use a couple of drops in water so it goes a long way. I bought mine in Canada so I don't know if it's available in Korea.

Two Aspirin before you go to bed. They'll help more then than they will the next morning.

I like coffee the next morning. It's a liquid crutch. Why "NO coffee!"? I'm going to drink it whatever you say, but I'm curious.

No drinking "at all" after 40? Okay, nobody's going to take this advice. Not even Jajdude.

Are looking to OD? Or just trying to get others to? Acetaminophen shouldn't be mixed with alcohol.

Aspirin thins your blood. Not a great idea when you're drinking

Bingo. Stay hydrated.

FWIW - dark liquors will cause a worse hangover than clear alcohols.
