One thing I haven't done ever in Korea is swim. Could I find a place that was empty enough?

I have not ridden a bicycle or shot a basketball in years either. No good excuse if I really wanted to.

There might be other things.

Pools are plentiful and decent enough, they're just hidden at the top floors of buildings.
You can get a workout in because everyone else is gabbing and splashing around.
If you stop, though, they will hijack you and chat you up. Especially the "Missy" ajummas in their sexy swim caps. Ah, the potential dates I passed up..

I found a bike in the trash once, and rode it for a while. But it was kind of twisted and 'adventuresome' to ride.

All I missed there was Taco Bell, and walking to the nearest fishing hole.

Hmmm. where are these swimming pools of which you speak? I live in Bundang. One in my area would be great. I like the exercise of swimming, but in Korea have found it to be elusive, so to speak.

Yeah I wish I could find a pool, too. I was told of a community swimming pool in my area. Went there to sign up and was told first that I couldn't just come at any time I wanted, because the entire day was blocked off into segements, and men's "free swim" was from 7-8am or 9-10pm, and second that I couldn't join even if I wanted to because they were full for the month. It's moments like that when I get a little angry.

I don't really know Bundang, but any fair-sized health club will have a pool.
It may not be obvious, or on the same floor as the lobby. You may have to ask.
Roxy is one chain there to look for. Kinda upscale, but not unreasonable.

um.. Roch? You Roch! heh

My interests are more in the musical domain.
I wish I could find some orchestra or recorder ensemble I could join.

Did you check out that YMCA in Migeum? I've never been, but maybe they'd have a pool. An ex-coworker went to a pool in Bundang regularly, but I don't know where it is.
